Celebrating real results,
meaningful growth &
lasting impact
Hi, I’m Hanya Gartner.
Honored to Support Your Sustainability & Resiliency Goals
It’s been a long, eye-opening journey where every milestone seems to unlock new challenges.
With 20+ years of experience consulting multinational corporations, government bodies, and nonprofit organizations worldwide, I’ve seen firsthand that impact isn’t measured by size or volume. It’s driven by intention and strategic action.
Whether you’re a global leader or a small-but-mighty force, your efforts matter.
Every choice, initiative, and commitment must consider your full ecosystem—the people and inputs that keep your business moving, from internal teams to external stakeholders.
And when strategic thought fuels action, successful change isn’t just possible—it’s inevitable.
Here’s the best part: you don’t have to do it alone. Especially now that you have me in your corner.
Your people are your greatest asset; they just need to understand why it matters, and why they should care.
Because ethical business conduct isn’t just a feel-good movement. It’s a shared responsibility—our shared responsibility—toward sustainability, resilience, and a more stable future.
SO, THE REAL QUESTION IS: WHY AM I REALLY HERE?
What role do I play, and how can I help YOU turn intention into impact?
Existential-crisis-sounding questions aside, my passion for the intricate connections between humanity and the natural world has been lifelong, beginning in childhood.
My professional journey started in civil engineering, where I was fascinated by how infrastructure connects people within the larger ecosystem. But I quickly saw the trade-offs—how prioritizing development often came at the cost of environmental and social equity.
That realization was a profound (career) wake-up call.
It set me on a 20-year mission (and still counting) to find a better way, a deeper sense of fulfillment.
A way where businesses recognize their critical interdependencies on people and the natural environment and realize that Earth's resources are as finite as our time here. A way where organizations don’t just meet the needs of their stakeholders but lead with integrity, creating meaningful, lasting change.
Motivated by this mission, I pursued a Master’s in Environmental Governance, Policy & Communication, which paved the way for my transition from engineering to sustainability consulting.
Since then, my career has taken me across a variety of roles and industries, from working at EY on corporate sustainability to supporting global climate action at C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group, and tackling real-world sustainability challenges with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
Sure, I’m just one voice.
But by helping you clarify, refine, and champion your sustainability and resiliency initiatives, we’ll spark a chain reaction that cuts through the noise and greenwashed lingo to inspire and drive real progress.
If my one-woman mission helps your organization achieve yours, that’s a worthwhile win in both our books.

Corporate jargon aside,
in the real world…
I’m a wife, mom, nature junkie, and cultural fiend—with a dash of (grounded) woo.
Originally from Australia, I’ve spent nearly a decade in the United States, living in dynamic places like New York City and South Florida. Now, I call New Hampshire home.
Rapid-fire questions, served up hot:
-
As a civil engineer, I specialized in tunnelling and geotechnical engineering. I spent a lot of time underground, inspecting telecommunications and road tunnels under cities, wading through stormwater drainage pipes—with the not-so-occasional eel swimming between my legs in the waters!
I also worked with geologists, drilling holes in open fields on a rig…talk about digging deep, literally.
While I don’t exactly miss the eels, my time in civil engineering further concreted (one more pun won’t hurt) my highly methodical and structured approach, and the uncanny knack for seeing invisible structures and tying things together in a cohesive way—innate and learned skills which I’ve carried into my work in organizational sustainability and resiliency.
-
Oh gosh, where do I even begin?! Some of my favorite memories include:
A safari in Kruger National Park
Exploring the ancient temples of Angkor Wat in Cambodia
Hiking the Inca Trail in Peru
Falling in love with the bazaars of Marrakesh
Riding camels through the Dubai desert
Marveling at the incredible rock architecture of Petra in Jordan
If I ever go missing, chances are I’m off exploring some hidden corner of the world, immersing myself in different cultures and traditions.
-
We spent years living in apartments—raising our two boys in New York City, then by the beach in Florida (because, you know, sun-loving Australians!).
But now that the boys are older, we’re finally treating ourselves to a much-needed expansion: a home on 15 acres of land, nestled among the forests and mountains of New Hampshire.
The dream? Start an organic farm, raise chickens, and practice sustainable living—beyond just preaching it.
-
For me, self-care is about the journey inward: understanding myself and how I can best serve others, and creating quiet moments amid everyday chaos.
I’m deeply committed to personal growth, practicing transcendental meditation and Ashtanga yoga, and studying Jyotish (Vedic astrology). Bonus points if I can do it all in nature.
-
My favorite show is The White Lotus — because nothing says ‘relaxing TV’ like Mike White peeling back the layers of human nature until it’s hilariously uncomfortable and emotionally chaotic.
(I’m genuinely relieved it’s over for the season because I lost a lot of sleep on Sunday nights.)
